The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) sets the industry steel erection standards for quality control and safety. As an AISC certified erector, Magnum Contracting upholds these standards by ensuring our safety and quality assurance programs are imposed through our policies, procedures, and processes through all phases of the structural steel erection process.
PCI Member/Certified Auditor
As members of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, as well (and by) as having a PCI-certified company auditor on staff, Magnum Contracting is thoroughly committed to stringent safety and quality standards in every facet of our precast installation operations.
American Welding Society standards follow a strict set of rules and requirements. Magnum Contracting’s membership in the AWS ensures that we as a company as well as our certified welders conform to these standards. In conjunction with AWS Certifications, Magnum Contracting also has two Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI). As part of Magnum’s Quality Control Program, CWI’s inspect all structural and critical welds done by the Certified Welders.
Magnum Contracting’s crane operators are certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). NCCCO requires its operators to follow a code of ethics as well as other regulations and policies in order to maintain their certification. That means our operators complete regular assessments of their crane operation proficiencies, safety practices, knowledge and technical skills.
OSHA Safety Training
In order to ensure our workforce is up on the required safety standards within the industry, each of our supervisors are required to complete an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour course. Additionally, crewmembers that have proven themselves with the company are required to complete an OSHA 10-hour course.
Associated Builders and Contractors membership means we are able to take advantage various training and safety programs that help us be safer and more productive on your project.
The Northern Region Association of Safety Professionals is a member-run safety and health organization that provides members opportunities to share best practices and stay up to date with new and evolving industry standards and government regulations.
